Barack and Michelle Obama's portraits will be unveiled at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in 2018.
Artists Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald will create the official presidential portraits to be kept in the museum.
The politicos' selections marks the first time the Smithsonian has hired black artists to create a portrait of a former president since they started commissioning portraits in 1994.
