Top Exercises You Can Do Anywhere to Improve Your Strength


Many people avoid working out because they don’t have a gym membership, but you can
actually perform a variety of exercises without access to a gym. In fact, you can get a great
strength workout with little to no equipment - just a pair of comfortable footwear.

This article will cover a few of the top strength training exercises to consider without going to the gym.

Doing a home workout doesn’t have to mean sacrificing results. These are some of the most
effective options if you don’t want to spend money on a gym membership or prefer to work out at home.

Push-ups

Push-ups are easy to overlook, but they’re one of the best ways to increase upper-body
strength. You can do push-ups anywhere with space, making them ideal for apartments and
other small spaces. You’ll also be able to see your own progress as you become capable of
doing more and more reps over time.

That said, it’s important to focus on good form and consistently rather than simply beating your
personal record. You should move on to another exercise once you start compromising your form Try to come back for at least three or four sets over the course of your workout.

Breakdancers

Like push-ups, breakdancers take very little space and provide a great upper-body workout.

They also give you the option to gradually go faster and improve your cardio along with physical
strength. Breakdancers are the perfect addition to any home workout.

To perform a breakdancer, get on all fours with your hands and knees under your shoulders and
hips. Then bring your left hand and right foot off the ground to open your body to the left.
Reach your hand to your foot, bring them back to the ground, and switch sides. Like with push-ups, you should try to do around three total sets between other exercises.

You’ll have the opportunity to increase reps later on, so don’t push yourself too far if you have
trouble doing your target number of reps early on. Reaching workout goals is more about making consistent progress than trying to do too much all at once.

Superman Punch

Superman punches are good for building back strength along with your hamstrings and core.
You should start on your stomach with your arms straight out past your head. From there, bring your chest and legs off the ground, leaving your weight on your stomach.

Rather than performing individual reps, the superman punch is designed to be held for as long as possible. Don’t feel discouraged if you can only hold it for a few seconds on the first try.

Again, superman punches should be completed several times during each workout.  Working out at home is an ideal solution for anyone on a budget for tight schedule.

These exercises can achieve the same results as gym workouts without the same equipment or space. Keep in mind that diet is at least as important as exercise when it comes to getting in shape.
